Grade II listed building requiring interior re-design
18 Castle Street, Brecon
The property required interior work, the design wanted incorporate the fantastic original features and the clients brief of an open plan kitchen and dining room.
Above are some renders of the concepts for the open plan kitchen and dining room.
Due to the building being grade listed II we had to keep the original staircase so the design incorporated having new oak treads on top of the original step and we replaced the nosing.

The original floor had to be kept intact so we placed a new oak floor on top through out the property |

Another requirement was to show were original wall partitions were, so we showed this by creating an archway in the bedroom |
A key feature for the client was the original fireplaces, one of the fireplaces had a original marble surround. As you can see the client added a argar into the finished fireplace in the kitchen. |
